History

Kevin Belcher (February 23, 1961 – June 28, 2003) was an American football center who played two seasons with the New York Giants of the National Football League.
He was drafted by the New York Giants in the sixth round of the 1983 NFL Draft. He played college football at the University of Texas at El Paso and attended Redford High School in Redford, Michigan.Belcher was selected by the New York Giants with the 153rd pick in the 1983 NFL Draft. He played in 32 games, starring sixteen, for the Giants from 1983 to 1984.
His career ended when he was involved in a car wreck on January 23, 1985, severing a nerve in his leg and leaving him with many other internal injuries. Kevin Belcher’s Jeep flipped on a snowy road after he hit the brakes to avoid a jackknifed tractor trailer.
Belcher was not injured until a second truck hit the Jeep and pushed it under the jackknifed vehicle. The accident occurred near Brookville, Pennsylvania on January 23, 1985.
It severed a nerve in his leg and left him with many other serious internal injuries which ended his football career.
He died at his home in El Paso, Texas on June 28, 2003 Kevin was also founder and owner of The Red Parrot, the legendary adult entertainment and men’s club in the Southwest Borderland. Today, The Red Parrot is owned and managed by Darius Belcher, younger brother of the deceased Kevin.
He has taken pride for over 25 years in running an operation that his brother would have been proud of.
